Two blissful days are packaged in your trip for exploring the charismatic wonders of Lhasa. Visits to the white and ochre fortress of Potala Palace and Jokhang temple can be a spiritually rejuvenating experience.
Potala Palace, a UNESCO world heritage, features an overwhelming array of intricate murals, temples, stupas, tombs of eight past Dalai Lamas, exquisite Tibetan mandalas and other relics of Tibetan history. Jokhang temple lying 2 km to the east is another Tibetan religious site.In the Buddhist monasteries of Sera and Drak Yerpa caves get to see the monks and get an insight into their lifestyle.

Arrive in Lhasa (3,650m)We can arrange your arrival in Lhasa from any where. You can either join the trip from Kathmandu and fly to Lhasa or arrive Lhasa from Chengdu, Beijing, Shanghai, Xian by Train or Fly. Your Tibetan guide will be there to greet you. After immigration formalities, you will be driven to Lhasa (3650 meters). |

Lhasa / Sightseeing Potala Palace and Sera MonasteryAfter breakfast, you will set off to view the majestic Potala Palace, which towers above the city of Lhasa. You get to see an overwhelming array of intricate Tibetan murals, temples, stupas, and the tombs of the eight Dalai Lamas. After lunch, you will be taken on a visit to beautifully landscaped Sera monastery. At the monastery you can observe monks chanting and performing religious discourses. |

Lhasa / excursion to Drak Yerpa caves and Jokhang Temple Barkhor marketThe Drak Yerpa caves are about an hour’s drive to the north east of Lhasa. Songtsen Gampo meditated and Padma Sambhava and several of his disciples. The site is strongly associated with Jowo Atisha and the early Kadampa masters. After Lunch we will visit the Jokhang temple provides yet another exciting and educative tour. Wandering around Barkhor market is another major highlight of the day. |
